Find the model label before you choose a replacement cartridge. Wholesale buyers who already stock pens still lose time when a tip fits one bay and fails on another that looks almost the same. A clear model name keeps the order list tight and cuts back-and-forth on fit.
Read the printed label first
Start with the characters printed on the pen body, the battery cover, or the original box. Write down exactly what you see, including letters after a number and any spacing. Labels such as A6s, M8, or X5 are common examples on pens many distributors already carry; treat them as category cues for the cartridge family, not as a claim of brand affiliation.
Check more than one surface when the body print is faint. Boxes and battery covers often keep a clearer string. If two markings disagree, photograph both and note which one sits on the pen itself.
When the print is worn or missing
If the print has rubbed off, photograph the full pen from the side and the cartridge bay with the tip removed. Bay shape, collar depth, and drive pin layout are often enough for us to narrow the model and the connector family.
Send sharp, well-lit shots. Include one full side view and one close view of the empty bay. Soft focus or heavy shadow makes matching harder and slows sourcing.
Do not rely on colour or size alone
Two pens can share a similar colour, length, or grip and still take different connectors. Pin count on a tip you already use is useful once the bay is known; it is not a substitute for the model label or a clear bay photo.
Before you add lines to a wholesale order, confirm the model string or send photos. That step protects minimums and mixed-tip carts from wrong-bay returns later.
